How can I manually setup MacOS X to access my internet access account without your software?

MacOS X 10.3 Panther

You can manually setup your computer to access your internet access account without our software. (You must have an existing account and have your username and password available.)

1) Open 'System Preferences' and click the 'Network' icon in the 'Internet & Network' section
2) Select 'Internal Modem' from the list of networking devices and then click 'Configure'

NOTE: If you do not see 'Internal Modem' in this list select the appropriate item that represents your modem. If no modem exists in this list, but you are sure you have a modem select 'Network Port Configurations' from the 'Show' drop-down and ensure that the checkbox next your modem is checked and then select your modem from the 'Show' drop-down to continue.

3) In the 'Service Provider' text field enter a name to describe you new connection (ex: Lantastics! Dial-up)
4) In the 'Account Name' text field enter your account username (i.e. username@lgie.net)
5) In the 'Password' text field enter your account password
6) In the 'Telephone Number' and 'Alternate Number' text fields enter valid LGIE.net access numbers
7) You may wish MacOS X to memorize you account password by checking the 'Save Password' checkbox, you may find this useful if you do not want to be prompted to enter your password each time you sign-in.
8) Click the 'Apply Now' button to save the recently entered settings.

MacOS X is now setup to access your Lantastics G.I.E. internet access account without additional software.
